iIt's too early to say but the Pittsburgh Steelers (11-0) have a shot at an undefeated season tying the Miami Dolphins 1972 record. Interesting though the Payton Manning Colts teams were 9-0, 10-0, 12-0 and they didn't do it. Let's see if Mike Tomlin's team can do this.
They still have Football Team, Bills, Colts, and Browns remaining. The Bengals are there too, but ... losing one or two along the way would be reasonable - especially after Dupree's ACL injury. Staying ahead of the Chiefs should be the primary focus right now.

Ha, ha!! The NYJ fired their Defensive Coordinator after one of the most bone-headed defensive calls in league history!

Adam Gase has only four weeks to go before he's gone too. Just think 0-16 is a perfect season! :)

That team, the New York Jets, are really cursed ... let's see, how many seasons has it been since Superbowl III? 52. And they've pretty much sucked for 45 of them since then.

Joe Namath sold his soul to get that MVP Award and in getting the AFL Jets that championship.

I'm a Colts fan. Going back to Baltimore. Back when they had this guy.

I had a Wheaties poster of him on my bedroom door.

Mike Curtis passed away this year during the Pandemic. On April 20, 2020. Rest In Peace.

The '72 Dolphins can open their bottles of champagne now.

He reminds me of the Ryan clan, and how their unjustified reputations got them gigs for a while. His hot sauce used to work, but the game is different now, and he's still a hothead whackjob with little scruples. As for the play, I heard something about ESPN or someone tracking every other instance it's happened, same score, same scheme, same time on the clock, etc. 250+ times, iirc, and not once has that play, that man cover all out blitz, been called - I'm convinced that it was a professional suicide, sort of. The mode for them (in a #1 pick chase) is probably high risk / high reward playcalling, but that was suicide. What's the deal with Gase, then. They can’t fire him in season, but they have to whack someone. Perhaps.

Carolina Panthers have parted ways with GM Marty Hurney. It's finally over. He can't hurt us anymore.

Gotta wonder about the timing of Hurney's firing. I wonder if people in the Draft Room wanted Hurts as the QB post-CAM, but Hurney continued to draft defense.

Kevin Greene was an awesome OLB. I've visited Canton, and they have a case for him. He has a series of his gloves fanned out, and he noted in black Sharpie the dates he wore them, and the number of times he sacked the opposing QB, and the QB's name. (y)

You can't make this stuff up..:

Dwayne Haskins QB, Washington Football Team

Dwayne Haskins could be fined a week's salary and face a four-game suspension for engaging in "high risk COVID-19 conduct."

That would constitute the maximum punishment for Haskins getting caught in a strip club without a mask. He apologized for the incident in social media posts before locking down his Twitter account Tuesday. While NFL Network's Tom Pelissero said the team won't release Haskins, the QB could face serious consequences for violating basic COVID-19 protocols.

Wow that is crazy how some guys throw their money away. So basically 5 weeks salary thrown away. It is bad enough that every week the NFL fine players thousands of dollars for towel wrong length, or socks or not wearing same shoes as teammates and so on. 🤨

Ha, ha!! Haskins was RELEASED. THAT'S what you get for looking at titties, instead of your playbook..

Washington Football Team waived QB Dwayne Haskins.

It's the culmination of a professionally catastrophic week for Haskins, who was fined $40,000 and stripped of his team captain title after violating COVID-19 protocols by attending a party maskless. The team was forced into starting him in Week 16 against the Panthers, who looked like the 1985 Bears defense with Haskins completing half of his passes for 154 yards, two interceptions, and a fumble. He was benched in favor of Taylor Heinicke, who had never played a regular season NFL snap but proved a major upgrade over Haskins. Heinicke will back up Alex Smith (calf) if Smith is able to play in the Football Team's critical Week 17 matchup against the Eagles. He ends his tumultuous two-year run in Washington with a 60.1 percent completion rate, 12 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. In a statement, head coach Ron Rivera thanked Haskins for his contributions. Haskins will be another team's project.

Losing to your head coach's former employer is not good for job security.

No one ELSE wants Dwayne Haskins, either. At least, at $4.266M over the next two years. He'll likely surface in a training camp for the .. (ahem) veteran minimum:

Ex-Washington Football Team QB Dwayne Haskins went unclaimed on waivers.

It's not surprising after Haskins' spectacular flameout in Washington this month, and really the past two years. Haskins is still only 23, but the two biggest questions about his NFL future — mindset and movement skills — have not been put to rest. For what it's worth, NFL Network's Jim Trotter spoke with a head coach Tuesday who believes Haskins' career is "salvageable." Haskins playing in his hometown was viewed as a poor idea from the start from many in the loop. Haskins will almost certainly get an offseason second chance, but it will be a "zero tolerance" situation wherever he ends up.
